Z3000

Just saw on D2E Facebook page that these will be tested at the Military Worlds and will be released in Feb 2014, I hope this bat performs and drives down the price of the older ones.

That's cool, I would love to have companies send me the newest bats to try out, that would be a sweet gig.

checked out Robert Blackburn's 30oz Z3000 at worlds this week-end, was webbed up pretty good and ball was jumping (that guy is a machine btw) Decided to buy a Z2000 good QC# in the tent.. first experience with these, do they take some take to break-in and web as well or gtg out of the wrapper? Used it all weekend and it seemed pretty good, although it was hard to tell because you either had crazy face wind or crazy back wind.. you were basically hitting the ball 321 feet right over the fence or blasting it 400+

Had a chance to film robo under the lights at Morgan Firestone Park in Ancaster this past thursday... swinging a Z2000 reissue fresh out of the wrap and the 1100 swing Z3000 (after 5:15 mark).. park is 320' all around... hot dot like balls.. 50/270 spec.. pretty crazy round of hitting and bat control

Also on Monday morning at Chudders yard with a brand new Z3000..

A few of us got to try it this weekend in bp and in our games.. very impressed, pretty pumped for these... to go alongside our other Zees

I like the bp videos but for a normal rec guy like myself, these don't show what a normal person can hit, Robo and Chudder r beasts, lets face it, even yourself ZR, I watched u play out at the Shootout and u can hit hard as well, biggest shot I may have if I'm lucky would be 300 but more then likely under. It would be nice to c what a "normal" guy can do with it, give us someone to compare it to a bit better. I c it on other bp videos as well, like ones from Kelly's Sports, big guy hitting hard ass balls and putting them 400, according to the guy doing the commentary. I'm not trying to be a jackass here but as I said, some of us can't hit like most of u and seeing a rec guy hit the bat may give some of us a better idea of what we may be able to do with it. I know u guys r good for letting guys try demo bats out which is great. I may be the only person who thinks this way.

had a chance to BP the z3000 Balanced utrip and it is my preferred weight & load.
out of the wrapper it was hitting solid, swinging for the fences in my last round it was hitting over 300ft on par with the usual distance i get with any bat.

my business partner Fireclipz prefer the EL version of this bat but wants me to point out that it is not significant.

z2k barrel feel. z1k flex.

i was NOT a z2k fan. i found it too stiff and feedback isn't there in my hands.

if u like the z2k, u will have the same barrel feel but the bat probably isn't as stiff.

the z3K uses '360 composite'. this is different from the ls2x composite in the previous versions. but is it? pffft. i doubt it.

the z1k is my current gamer but i will be using this z3000 balance in leaugue and at ss this weekend... cuz i like to have fun playing softball!

as with all other bat hype, is this a bat that'll turn u into a champ? no.

will it semi-falsify your real talents and boost your average ? probably. becuz the sweetspot is just as huge as the z2000. that's why the bat became such a hit.

for the common player, you will like this bat just like any other 'big sweetspot' bats that came before it... extended, scn9, z2000, etc. becuz it big sweetspots increase your margin for error.

the past year hype surrounding the z2k is exactly an appeal to the masses. but it does not line the fences of the top teams in ontario. just wanted to point out this observation.

it is just another top end bat. it all comes down to feel. they all perform just as good.

but for the z1000 lovers this is the bat u'll most likely move to because it has the new utrip stamp.

I took a few cuts with robos broken in 30 3k and it was definitely too whippy for my tastes. Readjusting timing for the whip plus swinging 3+ oz heavier was too much but as with any bat I'd bet of you give it time anyone would be able to zone in with it.

you're not going to see a difference watching anyone hit. you need to try for yourself. give a rec guy a Z or a Psycho and you'll see the same end cap shots.
