New Boombah Turf Review

I bought the new Shutdown turfs from Boombah. I posted this purchase in the "Recent Purchase" thread and someone messaged me for a review. I thought I would actualy post the review on here so everyone who wants can read it since they are a new release shoe.

http://www.boombah.com/All-Products/Shutdown-Turf/

These shoes are a 10 for comfort. Most comfortable Boombah shoes I have owned. I took them out of the box on Saturday morning and played at a wet and muddy SPC.

Couple things I noticed...

1. The tread is deeper then the other Boombah turfs I have owned, they gave me great grip in the conditions we had. (note however that I am a middle infielder so I don't know what kind of grip you would get in the Outfield I did notice that on cut offs there was no slipping)

2. There is a toe cap...calling it that because I don't know how else to explain it. On the Boombah turfs I have owned every one of them the tread has seperated from the shoe on my trail foot, I obviously drag my trail foot when hitting but it looks like I am not the only one because they have added a solid rubber piece to that area and I can see how this won't be an issue in the future. Very happy about that.

3. Lightest Boombahs I have owned. I have had the Mesh Midturfs, the resistance low cuts and these Shutdowns are by far the lightest.

4. Water proof? I don't know if they are but for a mesh top shoe in the conditions we had my feet stayed dry.

Overall I am very impressed with this shoe and will probably get another pair for BP.

Fit was very true. I wear an 11 in my RBK high tops, Nike Free Runs and every Boombah I have had and these are no exception.
