I guess not ?

IMO we are at the "End of the beginning " for investors . These stocks are volatile , and for good reason , as they don't have a positive EPS . That being said , those that can be Long are looking to make there fortune .

id say this sector has a good day trading capability

was informed of Radient Technologies Inc(CVE:RTI). penny stock but they partnered with aurora sky to use there technology to produce a better yield/ product.

too risky for me but adept day traders could make some good money

I don't know much about the industry other then what I have read in the news. I did decide to jump on the Horizon ETF back in April on the first day of trading. I figured owning a basket of stocks rather then picking one was a better strategy for me. I also only invested a small portion of my portflio and figured I would be a longer term holder, even if it went down initially. I bought at $10.10 and sold at $11.20. The price ran up way too quick and so I figured I would get out even it I missed out on bigger gains. I'm quite happy I did as this thing tanked to around $8.00. I'm not sure the market forces have changed for the industry in general since my trades in early April, but I figure I will stay away and stick to other investment options.

knowin zero bout investing/trading, wouldn't gettin in before true full fledge legalization be the best time?

or is there potential that true full national legalization doesn't happen? hence, the volatility. idk.

but i'd like to try gettin in, if anyone has some tips/direction for a noob, much appreciated.

since everyone knows that legalization is to take place next summer you shouldn't be able to earn a profit based on that information anymore.

The volatility lately seems to be due to market forces of supply and demand. Many analysts are saying the current producers will not be able to meet supply. While Demand>Supply is usually a good thing for producers since they can charge more (think Leafs tickets), in this case it may mean the black market turns into a grey market which hinders any traction the legal market may gain. I personally don't know all about this. I would say that the black market seems to have enough supply for demand so I see that as being more of a problem then the legal sellers not being able to meet demand.

The government has a list of every company that has a license to grow. I've got sources that say there is a list of 1400 companies applying for licenses.

https://www.canada.ca/en/health-cana...-purposes.html

The demand will not be a problem. The top 3 companies to look at would be Canopy, Aurora and Organigram. They are 3 of the top Canadian producers for medical Mary and are expanding at a rapid pace.

Another interesting site to follow is www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com

Whoever is growing and selling the "Rockstar" is who i'd back personally.

Has to be the one of all the fancy names I keep hearing my stoner friends rave on about. Apparently a great smoke, and I can agree with my experience with it.

Seems to be sought after...

Otherwise, I am lost in all these names and fancyness. Call me old I guess, it's what you get for being from the Chronic era and not the Kush era?

I'd like to think legalization means a pure product sold legally. However, the Tobacco industry leaves me in doubt.

Totally agree on ur "era" comment. Wish people would realize that "kush" is a strain not a word used to describe the quality. So many people say "kush" when they got some bunk azz swag that would be the equivalent of the old "china bud"
