On the higher end stuff;

Aso method for me without all the serious mallet abuse he does. I'll do the hot water trick, and then mould pocket and coutch catch etc.

It's always gotten me my glove how I want it to play.

Quickly? Probably ASO it. (Hot water method.)

I've never done it, lots of arguments for and against it. For me, it's always been a combination of couch catch, shoe shining the heel, pounding the break points with a mallet and catch.

Years ago, I used to use the Vinci conditioner (as directed by Vinci with their gloves) - I liked that stuff, you could apply a nice thin coat, let it soak in and then work it once dry.

Don't feel good pouring water on the glove, lol Cause I got a new ls flare and it appears to have already come with oil in the glove hense turning the green ball mallet slightly black.

Some people just pour hot water over it enough to get it damp and then yes, shape it how you want. Others full dunk it. I remember seeing one guy on SBF (I think it was Cy.) dunked a brand new SBF PRO1000, had it ready to go very quickly.

Just saw your edit...yeah an LS Flare should take no time to break in. Just pound the crap out of it, work the break points.

Don't steam or pour hot water on it. Most guys have back up gloves for when it's pissing rain. Why would you start by getting the leather wet.

Spend the money on A proper pounding pad and use either a wood mallet or make one from a softball and a hamer handle. I usually sit on the floor with the pad and pound the piss out of my glove well watching tv. You'd be surprised how quick you can break in a glove. Try to keep your hand in the glove well doing it so it takes the fourm of your hand.

Good luck breaking it in.. It's always nice when you can feel the progress and get it close to the way you want it to play.
