I'd like to know where people go the netting from. Was thinking for building one in my basement. :)

A buddy of mine built one for his kids. He got the netting from a driving range that was closing down, and he bought a pitching machine off Kijiji.

He set up an industrial lamps beside the machine and took out the light bulbs from the ceiling fixtures. He draped the netting from the ceiling so balls couldn't hit the ceiling itself or the walls. too low for grown men but the height was perfect for 13 yr old girls.

I was thinking of setting one of these up in my garage with a tee but I am unsure if the quality will last.

I could always tapcon it to the floor and the roof. I just don't know about the quality of the mesh.

I have archery netting that works great. It's pretty fine holes but very impact resistant and easy stops a soft ball.

Are you looking to put it in your basement, or other room, or in the garage?

I haven't seen any in home, but I have seen a few set ups in a garage.
Either old blankets, old mattress or netting if you can track down.

one with a pop toss, and Easton pop toss unit, and other with just a tee

I saw some on Kijiji but it was gone before I could snag it.

I wish I had the ceiling height in my basement to do something like that.

Maybe a big arse heater in the garage!!! LOL

If I do this it will go in my garage. Its long @ 50' so I have tons of room. I plan to do it at least 35' long and 14'wide so its basically a whole hitting lane. Live pitching or off a tee.

I used to have a decent set up in my warehouse. netting from ceiling to floor with a jugs soft toss machine and or a Tee, TJ had come by for a few cuts one time ( but he don't like me anymore ) :lalala:
my netting I had was form ice rinks that put up netting on the end of the rink for pucks.

I can get sports netting in 6'x30' pieces for $30 a piece. It's all bound and can be joined together easily.
Works great. I have a bunch of it for the same purpose and can pick up more if needed.
The squares are about 1"

I have a buddy with a greenhouse who has this setup for the winter, I believe his cost was around $2k, but well worth it IMO.

I've attached a trap to the rafters in the garage.
I use a tee and hit wiffle balls into it.
I've also attached a rope to the bottom to pull it up out of the way when not being used.

This looks great! If I had the room for something like this then hell yah would Want to make it. 2 grand is a decent price... I have spent more than 2 grand on things I never used or sold right after getting them..

Well done

I've used Juggs Lite balls in a double's squash court at work.

I mention this because they come of fairly true for foam ball that does zero damage.

Might make the netting logistics a little easier.
